CASE STUDY

This assignment was to develop an unconventional apartment design for a Japanese businessman and his Love Hotel in Tokyo. The focal part of the design is the “love-making” area, which provides more privacy for the intimacy of high-end guests.

The concept of JKL Hotel offers clients a five-star luxurious accommodation incorporating two ambiences – one being sensual and sophisticated, and the other naughty. On entering you immediately get the feel of a sensual, yet classy, hotel room. However, once you go down the stairs you discover a playroom with a kinky twist.

The bedroom has a separate bathroom, characterized by impressive solid wood flooring (made from exotic wood), opulent fine fabrics in royal blue tones, luxurious furs, fragraint flowers, stylish decorations, jaccuzzi for two and a monumental fireplace, which adds to the romantic atmosphere. In contrast, the basement is dominated by black and red leather, metal, and several breath-taking pieces of equipment, including a vending machine for toys where the guests can buy some items to spice up their intimate moments.
