CASE STUDY

Contrast, magnificence, sensuality and the connection of seemingly incompatible elements — this is the world of Gaultier’s fashion collections. A custom-designed women’s flagship store, that should embody the same attributes as above mentioned, is intended to be opened in downtown Florence especially for his new line.

If there is one thing Jean Paul Gaultier hates, it is convention. “Why not?” Why not piece together two opposite facing quadrants, edged with tea rose pink color and accent gold stripes, together with classy French moldings? The combined features of a highly elaborate ceiling, sophisticated lighting and reflective vintage mirrors create a timeless ambience of a luxury brand image. JP Gautier’s latest advertising campaign entitled “The Factory,” helped inspire the eye-catching window display, full of brass and steel gears, complemented by naked athletic body sculptures.
